Voter Information

The primary election will take place on THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 13, 2018. Polls are open from noon until 9 pm. (That's right - Thursday! Those clever folks in Albany want to keep us on our toes.)

BY MAIL: Application must be postmarked no later than August 19, 2018 and received by a board of elections no later than August 24, 2018 to be eligible to vote in the Primary.

IN PERSON: You may register at your local board of elections or any state agency participating in the National Voter Registration Act, on any business day throughout the year but, to be eligible to vote in the State and Local Primary, your application must be received no later than August 19, 2018.

CHANGE OF ADDRESS:Notices of change of address from registered voters received by August 24, 2018 by a county board of elections must be processed and entered in the records in time for the State & Local Primary.


Please note: If you want to vote early, change your party designation for the primary, register on election day, or vote by mail -- sorry, you're out of luck! New York's voting laws are among the most restrictive in the nation. Updating them and improving our democracy is one of the purposes of our campaign.
